Independence
No publisher, platform or payment provider pays for a review, a score, a position on our board or a mention in our guides. We don't accept free currency or cosmetics in return for coverage. If a publisher ever gives us early access for a review, we'll say so on that review.
How a review is put together
We base reviews on play sessions across modes, the publisher's own documentation and patch notes, and the store pages and support articles for prices, payments and refunds. Scores use the five weighted criteria described on how we score. Each criterion gets a mark from 1 to 10, and the overall score out of 100 is calculated from them, not chosen afterwards.
Keeping things current
Live games change every season. Every review shows the month it was last checked. We look at price models, currencies and payment methods again whenever a game changes its shop, and at least once each quarter.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the change at the foot of the page. Tell us through the contact page; we read everything.
What we won't write about
We don't cover products where you pay in the hope of a return, and we don't link to them. Our payments guides are about paying for games and in-game items through official stores only.
